Pier Park, the much anticipated 900,000 square-foot retail and entertainment complex is fineally becoming a reality for the thousands of visitors to the area each year and to the locals that will use it as a shopping and dining destination.  It is located on 93 acres of land that stretches from Front Beach Road at the City Pier to the well traveled Highway 98.  Highway 98 stretches across the Panhandle from Panama City Beach to Pensacola, Florida, Southern Mississippi, Alabama and Louisianna.  The Bay counthy Airport has been approved and construction will begin in 2007 to open in 2009.  The airport site is seven miles north of Pier Park.

  Announced tenants are Target which opened in 2006, Dillards which will open in 2007, Calabria’s Italian Grill, Camille’s Sidewalk Cafe, Candy Maker, Trader Tom’s Shells & gifts, Del Sol, Back Porch Restaurant, Reggae J’s Island Grill, Johnny Rockets, Southern Theaters, Ron Jon Surf Shop, Old navy, Panhera Bread, Starbucks, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, Ulta Comsmetics, and Long Horn Steak House. 

 

The entire project is being constructed by Simon Property Group out of Indianapolis Indiana.
